My career in operations, business development and procurement has given me a lot of experience I can share with young entrepreneurs. My #3 in my Big Five is all about fighting poverty and problematic debt, and next to my #4, transforming education, my main driver in the board roles I currently have. I’d like to broaden my board scope with cultural organizations and commercial, startup/scale-up organizations.

| 2016 – now
The INSEAD Alumni Association The Netherlands is the official entity of which alumni from INSEAD Business School in Fontainebleau who are Dutch and/or live in The Netherlands can become a member. With over 3,000 alumni and more than 1,800 active members, the Dutch association is one of the biggest associations in the alumni network.

I joined the Board in 2016 with a responsibility for Communications which I changed for Internationalization and Digitalization in 2021. I became co-President of the association together with Raymond van Eck in 2022 and was elected President in 2025. As a (co-)President I am also a member of the General Assembly of the International Alumni Association for which I have been active in many working groups (Code of Conduct, Global Club Governance, etc.). In international context we have organized the International Alumni Forum in the Netherlands twice (2018, 2025) as well as the 24-hour Digital Forum during the Covid-pandemic.

| 2015 – 2024
I joined the Board of Advisors of the foundation Moedige Dialoog (Courageous Dialogue) in 2015 where I had the informal role of advising the director of the foundation, for example about the integration of the foundation in the nationwide initiative to tackle problematic debt. Moedige Dialoog is a foundation that tries to tackle problematic debt by preventing through knowledge and training. Their commercial training program “Geldzorgen de Baas” was rolled out in the Netherlands as the main activity of the Foundation.

In 2019, advised by both Rabobank and Sociaal Werk Nederland, the foundation became a formal foundation with a Supervisory Board of which I became the chairman (until 2021) and the vice-chairman (until end of 2024). After serving two terms my role at Moedige Dialoog has now ended.
