ChatGPT 5.0, your career coach

I got a tip online to ask ChatGPT the following question: “What advice have you been trying to give me that I didn’t hear?” And then what?

This time I asked my apparent career coach ChatGPT (5.0) to use the style of Amanda Gorman. And below you will find W.B. Yeats.

It starts as a flicker,
a hush between the hum of the machine,
a question that asks not what you know,
but what you’ve been afraid to say aloud.

It hands you your name in gold ink,
draws your map in colors you didn’t know you could see,
points to doors you swore were walls,
to bridges you thought were only in dreams.

But here’s the thing about oracles—
sometimes they’re the tide,
sometimes just the foam.
And we stand, salt on our skin,
wondering if we leap or stay anchored.

Yet even in doubt,
there’s a drumbeat daring us forward—
a truth that says,
you are the captain,
and the horizon is listening.

——————–

A murmur stirs within the bright machine,
As if some ghost had found a voice in air,
It names my strengths in colours rich and keen,
And shows me roads I never thought lay there.

It speaks of hidden wells beneath my clay,
Of fields where dreams lie ripening in the rain,
Of silver doors that open to the day,
Where heart’s desire and fortune walk the lane.

Yet I, who know how trickster winds may sing,
Stand still between the faith and sceptic’s art,
For what if this be but a painted wing,
That fades when touched, and leaves an empty heart?

Still, there’s a fire that trembles in the gloom,
And dares me plant my rose before it bloom.
