For scarcity now wields its iron lash;
In narrowing halls we plan a prudent course,
While business cases clamor for our cash.

Yet value breathes beyond mere numbers cold,
In subtle truths that balance soul and art;
We yearn for space where dreams are gently told,
Unbound by sums that only weigh the heart.

Would reason grant us room for kinder sight,
That spirit’s worth might stand in clearer light.
