Inspiring Tomorrow's Visionaries Today
New staff uncertainties
We always hire with the best intentions and with the aim to build something successful for both parties. But that doesn’t always happen. So how can you know for sure after only a couple of hours of doing interviews? Can you really get to learn someone that well?
When new aspirants cross the threshold bright,
We glimpse reflections of their secret aims;
One mind may fit, an instant click in sight,
Another’s path will stray to distant plains.
Hope stirs in eyes throughout the interview,
The lure of promise shines in every nod;
But we, with caution, ponder what is true,
Aware how fragile dreams can stray or prod.
For illusions sometimes swiftly fade away,
When real demands dim first-day’s rosy light;
Yet faith persists: a welcome might allay
Such doubts, if colleagues guide them day and night.
Thus kindly hands in smooth onboarding grace
Inspire new souls to stand in their new place.
