I had a talk with a colleague who is going to attend the same institution as the one for which I feel a lot of enthusiasm. The energy was sparkling and you could almost feel it!

When memory stirs with bright and youthful grace,
I see that hour the corporate paved my way
To far-off halls of knowledge’s embrace,
Where teachers wise revived the shining day.

I met new minds from lands beyond my own,
Their voices joined in learning’s joyful art;
In foreign tongues, a brimming bond was sown,
That broadened thought and gently moved the heart.

High hopes of endless growth did fill each class,
A spirit shared by all who gathered there;
To break old limits, watch them crack like glass,
And stretch our souls beyond the known and fair.

Now I recount this gift, with spirit light,
Its fire still warms my days and guides my sight.
